Fiji race past Kenya for Vancouver 7s win

A determined Kenya7s fell at the last hurdle to finish second in the Vancouver leg of the HSBC World Rugby Sevens at the BC Place Stadium.

New Zealand opened their account with a 31-26 victory over Scotland, then breezed past Russian Federation 31-5 before capping their night with a 33-14 victory over defending champions and current series leaders South Africa.

Vancouver Champions Fiji will headline Pool A where they will battle with fellow pacific rivals New Zealand and Samoa as well as Russian Federation. Argentina took second spot and moved through to the Cup quarter-finals having beat Samoa 22-7 and Wales 35-12.

Baber's attention now turns to preparing his side for next month's Hong Kong Sevens, the biggest competition in the World Series calendar.
